Job Description: As a Program Manager you will lead the coordination execution and delivery of a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative ensuring alignment with strategic objectives regulatory compliance and successful system implementation. You will oversee cross-functional workstreams manage vendor performance and drive program governance while ensuring timely delivery of milestones. This role requires strong leadership stakeholder management and the ability to navigate complex program dependencies to support a successful system launch and transition to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning execution and monitoring of large-scale IT modernization programs
Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams including development testing data migration and operations
Develop and maintain integrated program schedules milestones and risk mitigation strategies
Manage dependencies across vendors stakeholders and technical teams
Monitor and track program progress risks issues and budget performance
Serve as the primary liaison between leadership stakeholders and vendor teams
Ensure timely resolution of project issues defects and delivery risks
Support implementation of modern delivery approaches including AI-assisted development practices
Coordinate compliance and readiness activities including testing validation and certification requirements
Facilitate governance processes including steering committee updates and executive reporting
Lead implementation readiness activities including UAT performance testing and production planning
Support go-live planning decision-making and post-deployment stabilization efforts
Drive organizational change management initiatives including training and user adoption
Ensure alignment of operational workflows with new system capabilities
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Business Administration Computer Science or related field
10 years of experience managing large-scale IT programs or enterprise system implementations
Strong experience in vendor management and multi-team coordination
Experience with Agile hybrid or iterative delivery methodologies
Proven experience managing system testing data migration and implementation readiness activities
Experience working in regulated or public-sector environments
Strong understanding of program governance risk management and compliance frameworks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership
Strong leadership problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Experience managing cloud-based or enterprise platform implementations
Ability to manage multiple priorities timelines and cross-functional dependencies
PMP PMI-ACP or equivalent project management certification (required)
PgMP certification or advanced program management credentials (preferred)
Experience with large-scale modernization initiatives and organizational transformation (preferred)
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
