Location: Long Beach CA Job Type: Contract 14 Weeks Local or Traveler Shift: Variable
We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support safe reliable and efficient operation of building systems and critical infrastructure in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. This role focuses on maintaining uptime preventive maintenance compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Oversee building systems including HVAC electrical steam/boiler water compressed air and mechanical infrastructure Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs Monitor system performance and proactively address operational risks Support uninterrupted facility operations and respond to system failures Lead troubleshooting efforts during maintenance and emergencies Ensure compliance with safety standards regulations and audit requirements Manage vendors service contracts and maintenance activities Support budget planning and capital improvement projects Assist with equipment installation and facility expansion initiatives Work alongside technicians when needed to resolve issues quickly Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and repairs Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required 5 years of facilities plant or equipment management experience Strong knowledge of HVAC steam systems boilers electrical water and mechanical systems Experience managing preventive maintenance programs Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues Experience managing vendors contractors and maintenance budgets Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements Strong leadership communication and organizational skills Technical certifications OSHA training or related credentials preferred
