For more information follow us SummaryThe Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce products that meet quality and performance standards. This position involves closely monitoring the extrusion process making necessary adjustments to machine settings verifying compliance with product specifications and performing routine maintenance. The Extrusion Machine Operator plays a key role in ensuring efficient production consistent product quality and a safe working environment within the manufacturing and ResponsibilitiesSet up and prepare extrusion equipment for operation by loading raw materials and configuring machine settings based on product extrusion machinery to manufacture medical device tubing in accordance with established procedures and quality the extrusion process in real time and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality dimensional accuracy and production regular quality inspections to ensure finished products meet all specifications and tolerance troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues or process deviations to minimize downtime and maintain production out routine preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning lubricating and replacing worn or damaged components to ensure optimal equipment performance and closely with the production team to coordinate material availability and maintain a consistent flow of raw materials to the extrusion accurate and detailed production records including output quantities machine parameters and maintenance activities to support productivity tracking and continuous improvement with engineers and customers to develop and optimize extrusion the quoting process and participate in customer calls as with maintain resin inventory and resin to all safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment and reduce workplace with training new operators on extrusion machine operation safety practices and basic maintenance and QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience as an extrusion school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in machine operation and maintenance are a experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing or production role in medical device industryStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand operate and maintain complex knowledge of extrusion processes equipment and standard operating knowledge of inspection tools and methodsFamiliarity with manufacturing safety standards protocols and best practices related to machine with GDP and ISO 13485 standardsAbility to read understand and interpret technical manuals blueprints and production oriented with a strong focus on delivering high quality results in an efficient and timely problem solving skills with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve operational communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with operators technicians and to learn new skills and take on challenging ability to stand for extended periods lift heavy materials and perform the hands on tasks required for the role.
