Job Summary
Job Description
The hour wage Event Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Director and staff of the Hahn Horticulture Garden with a focus on event coordination. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the recruitment and coordination of events
Respond to event inquiries
Assist with logistics and required paperwork for events
Provide a presence and support during events
Maintain files and submit required forms to meet deadlines
Funds handling
Coordinate tours education and outreach programs
Required Qualifications
Good communication skills and outstanding customer service; Extremely reliable self-motivated creative and detail-oriented; Willing to work late nights and weekends depending on event schedule oftentimes without supervision; Enthusiastic and professional; Comfortable with public speaking; Experience with computer programs especially Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with event planning and coordination; Experience working with diverse clientele.
