JOB SUMMARY
Work with general supervision and as a team player to perform routine drafting for mechanical electrical and/or electronic components using both 3D and 2D CAD software and word processing for support knowledge and skills of procedures and techniques to create and modify documents that form a technical data package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate new documents and revise existing documents for mechanical electrical and/or electronic components and support documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.
Post high school education courses in mechanical electrical and/or electronic drafting dimensioning and tolerancing or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training is required. Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 is a plus. Mechanical electrical and/or electronic design knowledge is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the to hear speak and understand in English. Requires fair written and oral communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Must have the ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely to pay close attention to detail stay focused and maintain a high degree of accuracy on repetitive work. Requires strong organizational skills and work to follow instructions and procedures exactly and make minor decisions if following an established to be highly productive in generating drawings and revisions. All work is subject to review.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

COMPUTER SKILLS
Prior experience of mechanical electrical and/or electronic component drafting and personal computer use using Word and Excel is required. Prior knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM is desired.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB
Personal computer using SolidWorks SolidWorks PDM AutoCAD Visio Excel and Word. Copier/printer and plotter.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is usually performed in an air-conditioned office environment.
Position involves sitting standing and/or requires ability to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to move/lift objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move/lift objects. May involve some type periods sitting at desk and reading computer screen and drawings. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and employee is occasionally required to stand stoop kneel reach or position requires that the employee be able to hear and speak clearly. Ability to work under time pressure is to work long hours if to work independently and as a team player.
