Position: Desktop Support Technician
Duration: 1 Year
Position location: Augusta Maine
Special Requirement:
Will need to travel onsite to pick up and drop off equipment on occasion. When traveling for work purposes mileage expenses will be reimbursed if utilizing your own vehicle. If utilizing a State of Maine vehicle mileage will not be reimbursed.
Work Location: Hybrid.
Majority of the role will be performed remotely. Will need to travel onsite to pick up equipment on occasion. When traveling for work purposes mileage expenses will be reimbursed if utilizing your own vehicle. If utilizing a State of Maine vehicle mileage will not be reimbursed. (Will only consider local candidates within an hour radius of Augusta ME)
Job Description:

Responsibilities
- Provide desktop computer support.
- Install application updates.
- Troubleshoot and remediate Operating System update failures.
- Remove unsupported or vulnerable software from end users computers.
- Ensure that all work is documented for future reference.
- Follow quality standards.
- Understand the installation of software patches and upgrades.
- Understand the use of remote technology and commands.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
Required /Desired Skills:
- Hardware/Software troubleshooting
- Strong customer service experience
