Hybrid in Dallas TX or Houston TX - Data Scientist/AI Engineer
Summary:
We are seeking an applied Data Scientist to help turn data into actionable insights and predictive solutions. This role focuses on hands-on model development within a modern data platform partnering closely with engineering teams to solve real-world optimization and decision-making problems.
Responsibilities:
* Develop train and iterate on machine learning models in Databricks
* Apply neural networks tree-based models and classical optimization techniques
* Collaborate closely with data and engineering teams on applied ML initiatives
* Integrate and work with vendor-provided models and internal ML pipelines
* Support new ML use cases and early AI/agent-based solutions as needed
* Contribute to ML Ops practices (conceptual support not infrastructure ownership)
* Hands-on experience working in Databricks
* Experience building and deploying ML models (not just analysis)
* Strong understanding of ML fundamentals and optimization methods
* Engineering-oriented mindset with applied problem-solving experience
* Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers
