Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a specialized pediatric healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures ensure patient safety and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. Experience working with pediatric and trauma patients is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare position and monitor patients throughout imaging examinations.
Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Administer and monitor contrast agents when appropriate and within scope of practice.
Review images for quality and ensure proper imaging techniques are utilized.
Follow radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists physicians nurses and healthcare team members to support patient care.
Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
Provide compassionate patient-centered care to pediatric and adolescent patients.
Maintain compliance with facility state and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Licensure & Certifications
Active Texas Medical Board (TMB) Radiologic Technologist License required.
ARRT Certification in Radiography required.
ARRT Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required per facility policy.
Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and protocols.
Proficiency with Siemens CT imaging systems.
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Strong attention to detail and image quality standards.
Knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety practices.
Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patient populations preferred.
