Position Overview
Paul Davis Restoration of South Atlanta is seeking a disciplined detail-oriented and performance-driven Controller to lead our financial operations and accounting team. This role serves as a key leader within the organization and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting managing company financial health supporting operational decision-making and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience within construction restoration or project-based industries and thrives in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll general ledger and financial reporting Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports Manage month-end and year-end close processes Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clean accurate financial records Oversee job cost accounting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting Monitor project/job costing to ensure profitability and accurate financial tracking Support leadership with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis Manage cash flow forecasting and daily banking activities Ensure timely filing of taxes licenses and compliance reporting Maintain vendor compliance documentation and internal controls Lead and support accounting team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
5 years of accounting or financial management experience Construction restoration or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting Proficiency in QuickBooks Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent communication and leadership skills Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
