Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction projects from planning and design through execution commissioning and closeout.

  • Develop and manage project scope schedules budgets resource plans and project deliverables.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients contractors engineers consultants and internal stakeholders.

  • Review engineering designs drawings specifications calculations and technical documentation.

  • Apply professional engineering judgment to construction and project-related decisions within the scope of the PE license.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering construction and project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.

  • Manage contractors and subcontractors including bid evaluations contract performance change orders and schedule compliance.

  • Monitor project costs forecasts commitments and financial performance; identify and address budget risks.

  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular status updates including schedule cost safety quality risks and overall project performance.

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.

  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes engineering standards safety regulations environmental requirements and client specifications.

  • Support permitting inspections regulatory approvals and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.

  • Review and approve technical documentation and construction deliverables as appropriate under the PE license and applicable regulations.

  • Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities throughout project execution.

  • Manage project changes RFIs submittals punch lists deficiencies and closeout documentation.

  • Coordinate commissioning turnover and final acceptance activities.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records in accordance with company and client requirements.

  • Promote a strong culture of safety accountability quality and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • 7 years of progressive experience in construction engineering project management or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from design through completion.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods project controls engineering principles and contract administration.

  • Experience managing contractors subcontractors consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong understanding of construction safety requirements applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Proven ability to manage project budgets schedules risks and competing priorities.

  • Excellent written verbal organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
