Pay: $165000.00 - $175000.00 per year

Location: This is an on-site position in Houston Texas offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys clients and the litigation team in a collaborative office environment.

Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar and should have 4 years of relevant litigation experience. Construction law or commercial litigation experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Handle a wide range of construction and commercial litigation matters from case development through resolution.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and prepare strong legal strategies.
• Draft pleadings motions briefs memoranda discovery and other litigation documents.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances hearings mediations arbitrations and trials.
• Communicate with clients opposing counsel experts and internal team members.
• Support construction-related transactional matters and commercial project work as needed.
• Manage deadlines case responsibilities and significant portions of matters independently.
• Work closely with senior attorneys while continuing to build technical skills and subject-matter experience.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Experience drafting pleadings motions discovery and litigation documents.
• Strong legal research writing analysis and advocacy skills.
• Construction law construction litigation or commercial litigation experience preferred.
• Deposition hearing mediation arbitration or trial experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail organization and deadline management.
• Strong communication skills professional judgment and ability to work well with a team.
