Job Summary
Job Title: Engineer Inventory Control
Duration: 6 Months
Location: York SC 29745
Pay Rate: $55 $60/hr on W2
Shift: On-Site Non-Exempt Preferred start time 7:30 AM (8:00 AM latest)
- Assignment length is expected to continue through December and may be extended.
- This is a full-time on-site role requiring eight billable hours per day Monday through Friday.
- Project management experience is required to lead initiatives across IT process improvement facilities and supply chain/manufacturing operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while delivering measurable results are essential.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems MRP EDI and manufacturing-related software.
- Experience with digital scheduling tools and BI reporting platforms.
- SQL knowledge and experience with RPA-BOT design or implementation are considered strong assets.
- Forecasting and inventory control.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Master data realignment and data analysis.
- Identifying operational issues and recommending effective solutions.
- ABC cycle counting.
- Inventory stratification.
- Third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
- Bar-code script implementation.
- ISO-related processes.
- SCAR investigations.
- Shipping and receiving operations.
- Bachelors degree required preferably in Engineering Supply Chain Management Business or Operations Management.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience required; 10 years preferred.
- Research and investigate the design functionality and maintenance of mechanical products equipment systems and processes.
- Ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints.
- Experience using engineering-related software applications and technical drawing tools.
- Creativity verbal and written communication skills analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
- Ability to create sketches engineering drawings and perform engineering calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Experience with engineering software applications such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Study time motion methods and production processes to improve efficiency and establish standard production rates.
- Interpret engineering drawings schematics and technical specifications to support quality and reliability standards.
- Review worker logs processing sheets and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Assist in planning work assignments based on production schedules machine capacity workforce performance and anticipated delays.
- Prepare charts graphs workflow diagrams floor layouts material handling plans and machine utilization reports.
