Job Description:
The Mechanic1stClassis responsible forthe upkeep and repair of a wide array of equipment such asdeliveryvehicles heavy-duty machinery on-road tractors and trailers sourced from different manufacturers. They specialize in diagnosing and fixing issues with hydraulic brakes air brakes electronic systems and engines.Additionalduties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
Repairs gas and propane vehicles.
Operates standard and manual transmission
Operates power and pneumatic tools
Ensuresall vehicles aremaintainedregularly andin a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Bends stoops squats kneels crouches crawls climbs ladders and stairs stands walks and turns/pivotsfrequentlythroughout duration of workday.
Minimum of 3 yearsdemonstratedexperience in preventive maintenance electrical diagnostics.
Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
Requirements:
Must have an active drivers license issued by the state
Must possess a valid Chauffeurs License (Class D) or be willing to obtain one
Must be 21 years or older
Must be willing to work 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. shift Monday-Friday
Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment.
Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is$3907 per hour with a one-year progression to top pay $4597. For union-represented postings wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
