ACDC Winder II

Primary Purpose: Rewind various kinds of basic to moderately complex electromechanical equipment including removing the original winding inspecting for winding failure damage recording data from the original winding making new coils winding and performing voltage testing on windings.

Essential Functions:

Winding Performs under limited supervision.

o Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment including but not limited to single-phase stators threephase stators three phase rotors fields and coils. Operate proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.

oDismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment including media blasting.

oInspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for winding damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.

oDocument/record all relevant data specific to units electromagnetic characteristics operating conditions existing damage or intended serviceability.

oPrepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden structural damage or unusual conditions.

oWind various electromechanical equipment.

o Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results.

o Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.

o Operate specified repair and testing equipment including but not limited to winding machines test panels surge testers Hipot core-loss testers cut-off saws burnout ovens bake ovens grinders cranes forklift trucks pallet trucks brazing units dip tanks VPI systems and various hand held power and non-power tools.

Other o Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment including eye ear and hand protection.

o Maintain a clean neat and safe work environment at all times. o Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.

oPromote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers and co-workers including coordinators.

oProvide outstanding customer service at all times.

o Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.

oPerform other duties as requested.

Requirements:

Education:

o High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

oTwo years of winding experience.

Other:

oAbility to perform basic math functions including addition subtraction multiplication division including understanding fractions.

oAbility to read write and comprehend simple to complex written and verbal instructions. o Ability to understand perform and retain various job related training operational and safety procedures. o Ability to exercise initiative judgment and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards.

oAbility to operate machinery and hoists.

oKnowledge of small machine shop machines required.

oVery infrequent travel may be required.
