Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end payroll process ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
- Assist with payroll calculations reconciliations and monthly payroll reporting.
- Maintain payroll accuracy through validating payroll input and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation internal controls and statutory requirements.
- Assist with payroll audits and maintain strong governance standards.
- Investigate and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Support payroll reporting employee benefits administration and payroll-related submissions.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Contribute to payroll process improvements efficiencies and system optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR Finance and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll delivery
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Degree in Finance Accounting Human Resources or related field
- Professional payroll certification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years payroll experience in a payroll management or support environment
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing
- Strong payroll reconciliation and payroll administration experience
- Sound understanding of South African payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience with VIP Premier Sage 300 SAP or similar payroll systems advantageous
- Previous exposure to employee benefits payroll reporting and payroll governance beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
- High levels of integrity professionalism and confidentiality
