The opportunity

Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy-intensive industries and delivering innovative solutions that make a real difference At Hitachi Energy were looking for a forward-thinking Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Mining & Industrial segment within the Middle East and African markets.

In this exciting role youll help expand our Grid and Power Quality Solutions and Services (GPQSS) portfolio working closely with customers to understand their evolving challenges and co-create solutions that improve efficiency support electrification reduce emissions and enable sustainable growth.

As industries continue to transform and increase their electrical demand youll be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities building strategic partnerships and bringing together Hitachi Energys world-class technologies with complementary third-party solutions. Youll collaborate across business development engineering sales and marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions that create long-term value for customers and accelerate our market growth.

How youll make an impact

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key customers across the Mining and Industrial sectors promoting our strategy and expanding portfolio to address evolving customer needs.

• Identify emerging market trends and customer challenges working closely with customers and industry partners to develop innovative end-to-end solutions.

• Collaborate with the Application Engineering function to shape technical solutions that support growing electrification and power quality demands within the segment.

• Introduce strategic engagement models such as Frame Agreements Capacity Reservation Agreements and Base Load concepts to secure opportunities early meet customer delivery expectations and deliver optimized technical and commercial solutions.

• Build strategic partnerships with suppliers technology providers and complementary industries to enhance our integrated system offerings.

• Support the development and deployment of new business models that combine Hitachi Energys technologies with third-party products and services.

• Work closely with sales marketing and front-end teams to create a seamless customer journey from opportunity development through to project execution.

• Champion a culture of safety integrity collaboration and accountability in everything you do.

Your background

• Degree in Engineering Business Management or a related discipline.

• 8 years of experience in business development sales marketing or operations within the Electrical and Power industry.

• Knowledge of Mining and Industries sectors is preferred

• Experience working with customers at all management technical and operative levels

• Proven ability to develop business opportunities and deliver customer-centric solutions.

• Experience working in a multicultural environment across different regions.

• Strong communication relationship-building and collaboration skills
