Job Description

Our client growing real estate owner/investor/developer seeks a diligent pleasant and proactive Vice President to work alongside their Acquisitions & Asset Management and Investor Relations & Capital Markets teams.

The Vice President will be responsible for performing market research sourcing & maintaining information for the investment pipeline across target markets underwriting prospective developments & acquisitions assisting during the due diligence and closing process and providing adhoc support for special projects as needed.

This role is located in the firm s Beverly Hills office which is highly productive & collaborative and back to working inhouse fulltime.

A day in the life of the successful Vice President includes but is not limited to:

  • Conducting project and market underwriting and preparing detailed deal memoranda

  • Assisting deal team with capital markets & investor relations efforts

  • Supporting asset management activities including repositioning strategies refinancings and dispositions

  • Preparing and presenting monthly quarterly and annual asset management and portfolio reports cash flow forecasts and waterfall distribution analyses

  • Providing recommended solutions to any operational issues that could impact the financial performance of an asset

  • Tracking market activity and maintaining database of lease and sales comps

  • Managing and tracking portfolio and asset performance & compliance including portfolio sensitivities on financing operations and leasing to assist senior management and investment partner review of strategic and risk management decisions

  • Assisting with investment and accounting teams to assess cash flow needs capital requirements and propertylevel distributions on a monthly basis

  • Coordinating with lenders for reporting covenant calculations draw requests and hedging activities

  • Building and maintaining detailed financial models utilizing Excel for acquisition and development projects that incorporate various scenarios capital structures and cash flow distribution waterfalls

  • Monitoring the management of capital renovation projects and operating activities

  • Analyzing proposed leasing transactions for deal approvals and interface with brokers

  • Managing workflow with onsite personnel property management and accounting teams


Requirements

The ideal Vice President possesses the following characteristics or experiences:


  • Bachelor s degree in a related field (business real estate etc.) required

  • 57 years minimum experience in either a real estate role (asset management acquisitions development structured finance investment sales) or advanced financial role (investment banking analyst program management consulting Big 4 accounting)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Excel Word and PowerPoint

  • Computer literate able to prepare correspondence access information from property management software and conduct business via email and internet

  • Ability to meet stated objectives in an effective and timely manner

  • Ability to connect with and to create positive relations with clients and senior management

  • Solid analysis ability to articulate assumptions conclusions and recommendations

  • Meticulous attention to detail superior work quality

  • Thoughtful presentation and communication skills with the ability to think like an investor
