Tasks
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Berlin office as a Trader responsible for the Eastern European markets working closely with senior management.
As a Trader your primary objective will be to increase the P&L of the Eastern European region by sourcing and executing profitable transactions. This will require a combination of analytical skills and effective client interaction.
Your role is pivotal in enhancing Vanilla Steels growth and establishing robust profitable operations. You will engage in diverse company activities specifically tailored to align with Vanilla Steels evolving business needs:
- Manage the Eastern European markets with a particular focus on Poland one of the biggest market for metals in Europe
- Generate brokerage and trading activity on behalf of Vanilla Steel
- Ensure thorough followup on deals coordinating with the operations team for logistics and payment processes
- Leverage existing client relationships. Be one of the key account managers for our Eastern European customers with both supplier and buyer coverage
- Proactively reach out to potential new clients initiating cold contacts and arranging meetings to expand our customer base
- Manage operational activities of the trading platform such as preparing transactional data and order confirmations
Requirements
- Ambitious entrepreneurial and targetdriven mentality
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills together with great verbal and written communication abilities
- Good analytical skills structured thinking and handson attitude
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales and account management. We are happy to consider young professionals as well as candidates with experience in the steel industry
- Professional proficiency in both Polish and English is essential for this role. Knowledge of other languages Eastern European languages in particular is highly valued
