Teaching Assistant (British Curriculum Experience)

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate.
• Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social).
• Assist with the movement of children in and around the school.
• Provide support for learning activities by supporting the delivery of learning activities
• Support in organising effective learning environments and maintaining appropriate records.
• Support literacy and numeracy activities in the classroom.
• Support the maintenance of pupil safety and security.
• Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour by - promoting school policies.
• Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, administer coursework.
• Support the use of information and communication technology in the classroom.
• Deliver learning activities to pupils within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs.
• Use ICT effectively to support learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and in-dependence in its use.
• All LSA's are expected to take their share of supervisory duties on the playground.

Job Requirements

• Good level of general education especially in Mathematics and English.
• Good communicator with an excellent command of English.
• Experience in an international curriculum school.
