Support Worker - working within a school

Key Health Recruitment are currently searching for a support worker to support younger children at school with personal care and medication procedures (mostly catheters).

The hours are fromMonday Friday so would be ideal for anyone that is taking and collecting their own children to school.

Tasks

The role will consist of working in a primary school of 420 pupils and supporting 10 of the pupils with personal care and catheters. In the time the children do not need personal care or medication support you will assist in tranporting the children to their classrooms. There will be no expectation to support with learning or for you to have an understanding of the schooling system but you will be welcome to stay in and around the classrooms to support the children you have rapport with.

Requirements

• A minimum 1 year experience within care and experience around usage of catheters
• Full enhanced DBS
• Mandatory training including practical basic life support moving and handling (including hoist) and medication training
• Experience working with children in any setting does not have to be a school
