  • An SMO unit manages both strategy development and execution in an integrated way in order to align strategy with daily operations
  • The SMO facilitates the strategy development while collating and reporting on progress against strategic objectives by integrating related initiatives in alignment to continuously updating of strategy given dynamic business environment and internal evolvement
  • Strategy Management Office is an effective unit that enables the organization to close the gap between strategy and execution Job Duties:
  • Leads periodical research and analysis exercises on the Real Estate industry to gather market intel, scan for new market trends, and identify keys opportunities of growth in this sector, discusses them with CEO, Development, and Commercial to feed in the strategy exercise
  • Leads the facilitation of Strategy workshops for developing the strategic foundation, planning and execution, and also Strategy Review Meetings using the designed frameworks and tools and building on the thorough research conducted on market opportunities & identified threats, while ensuring full alignment with all stakeholders
  • Ensure Compilation and presents final strategy document to Senior Leadership team for final alignment and CEO approval
  • Leads the strategy cascading of the corporate objectives to all core and supporting functions with departmental objectives and identified KPIs while supporting the target setting and required action plans with all Departments Heads. Corporate Objectives and strategic initiatives into Departmental objectives and KPIs)
  • Leads discussions with each department head for the cascading of their corresponding Initiative Cards outlining; (a) Initiatives' description, (b) expected budget and resources, (c) expected timeline (d) assigned owner, and finally ensures the existence of a clear link between all departmental initiatives and the approved Corporate Objectives
  • Monitors the consolidation of Initiatives' Master Plan and Departmental KPIs on Strategy tool (Dashboards) with their corresponding metrics, ensuring strategic initiatives are well synchronized across all departments and lead to the achievement of Corporate Objectives
  • Ownership of Initiatives & KPIs Dashboards and ensures proper management of the backend of both dashboards updating all cascaded departmental Initiatives and KPIs with baselines and targets and achievement percentages according to set milestones to each initiative
  • Monitors the execution of the Strategic Initiatives' KPIs and the critical Operational Projects' action plans, KPIs and targets
  • Ensures Updates and follows-up on the implementation of the approved corrective actions and mitigation plans throughout their execution, communicating any critical information or data to all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that the necessary data is timely and accurately presented to support the decision-making process
  • Issues Strategy Progress reports and dashboard illustrating progress on factors pertaining to; deviation from plans, arising challenges, associated risks and recommends corrective actions and mitigation plans. And discuss all raised challenges with the management to ensure corrective actions development and implementation
  • Prepares for the strategy review meeting with the Board on annual basis, to review performance and strategic directions way forward and discuss development areas or deviations, incorporating their input and feedback
  • Conducts timely performance appraisal sessions with his/her subordinate and ensures the implementation of the development plans of his direct reports
