OBJECTIVE
The position will report to the Customers Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) to supplement existing staff by supporting the planning design development and implementation of information technology projects.
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to frequently attend onsite meetings in Tallahassee.
Business Process Consultant Task List:
A. Prepare deliverables identified by the Functional Manager within the timeframe specified by the Contract Manager(s). Deliverables the Contractor will be responsible for producing include but are not limited to:
i. Current (AS IS) business process and customer journey maps
ii. Process Improvement Logs
iii. Requirements and acceptance criteria for Future (TO BE) business processes and customer journeys
iv. Processfocused Gap Analysis
v. Solutionfocused Gap Analysis
vi. Information Technology (IT) Solution Requirements
vii. Business Process Models (Diagram and Narrative)
viii. Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
ix. Data Dictionaries
x. Data Flow Diagrams
xi. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Plans
xii. Remediation Implementation Plans
xiii. Cost Benefit Analysis
xiv. User Stories
xv. Acceptance Criteria
xvi. Business Cases
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
a. Minimum Qualifications:
1) Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with staff at various levels;
2) A minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience;
3) A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in performing business analyses on IT projects;
4) A minimum of seven (5) years of experience in developing requirements for IT projects;
5) Experience in the use of Microsoft Visio for creating the process model diagrams;
6) Experience with Agile methodologies;
7) Experience translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.
b. Preferred Experience:
1) Experience working on Microsoft Power Platform or similar lowcode/nocode platform development projects.
2) Experience developing or improving processes that adhere to basic case management or issuance principles.
3) Skills and experience in conducting meetings with individuals and groups of people to discuss business processes. The people involved may be at the manager level or end user level. People may be businessoriented or technical (IT) staff. The contractor will be expected to be the lead in all meetings and discussions related to their analysis. Experience with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques is beneficial.

13) Experiences in working with IT technical staff to determine the infrastructure components within which any potential solution or modification would need to be able to operate.
c. Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels:
1) A minimum of a bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration or another related field;
2) Equivalent work experience.
