Speech Language Pathologist

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Bloomington Illinois. This fulltime position involves providing speech and language therapy to students in a school setting helping them overcome challenges and improve their communication skills. As a Speech Language Pathologist you will work closely with students who have a variety of communication disorders as well as collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to support the overall educational goals of each student.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose students with speech voice or language disorders.
  
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student s needs.
  
• Provide direct therapy services and interventions to improve students speech and language skills.
  
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech therapy with educational objectives.
  
• Educate parents and school staff on ways to support the communication skills of students at home and in school.
  
• Maintain detailed records of students therapy sessions and progress.
  
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on the speech and language goals for students.
  
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speechlanguage pathology.
  

Requirements

• Master s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  
• Valid Illinois license in Speech Language Pathology.
  
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA).
  
• Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships with students parents colleagues and administrators.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
