This role is a technical leadership position. The Senior Information Security Officer is responsible for carrying out the Information Security responsibilities within the company, providing technical security solutions to the business as required, performing security impact analyses, as well as training staff on countering emerging security threats.- The Senior Information Security Officer is responsible for research, development, implementation, testing, and reviewing the organization's information security in order to protect the information and prevent unauthorized access.
- Responsibilities
- Anticipate technical security risks and secure all critical working environments.
- Oversee/assist in performing ongoing security monitoring of organizational information systems.
- Assist in the selection of vendor products and work with internal organizations such as Operations and IT Security and SOX/Compliance to produce and gain sign-off of the required artifacts to allow a swift technical implementation.
- Collaborate with Outsource partners and improve third-party Secure engagements.
- Complete all customer security assessments.
- Conduct functionality and gap analyses to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Security assessments.
- Design and standardize Security operation documentation.
- Develop company Security strategy and lead the team to produce and operate a secure and effective SaaS offering.
- Evaluate and recommend new information security technologies and counter-measures against threats to information or privacy.
- Lead in the development/adoption and enforcement of Information Security Policies, Procedures, and standards.
- Lead director-sponsored strategic corporate initiatives resulting in security solutions and realizing ROI.
- Optimizing existing Security solutions in line with CIA triad.
- Provide technical solutions for business needs.
- Research and test new and upcoming Security technologies.
- Assist in RFPs from a security point of view.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Act as DPO.
