Job Description

- University degree in gender or women’s studies, political science, social work, humanities, international development, or related fields
- Good knowledge of socio-economic dynamics related to gender issues in Jordan and the region
- At least 1 year of experience working in the gender and social development sector in Jordan as a researcher or project officer preferably in the context of international development and/or humanitarian response
- Good knowledge and skills in conducting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research, preferably in the context of gender and social development
- At least 1 year working with marginalized or vulnerable and/or youth populations with a strong focus on gender and social inclusion in Jordan including knowledge on key sector stakeholders
- Strong and proven research and writing skills (published research is preferable)
- Strong organizational and personal management skills, with the ability to prioritise work issues to meet deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships and work in complex teams/groups.
- Ability to work creatively, effectively and in an innovative manner and to identify and develop new ideas to further Oxfam’s objectives for Gender Justice.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English and Arabic.
- Previous experience in working with national and/or international NGOs is preferable
- Experience using different computer software packages (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and online research skills
