- Direct daily management of the sales team in the region. This includes but is not limited to performance evaluations, coaching, leading and working with the home office to build the strongest possible commercial team in the region.
- Hiring and developing new sales representatives. Fixing or terminating underperforming sales representatives.
- Responsible for all aspects of the sales process in the region, prospecting, managing leads, quatations, demonstrations (if required), negotiations, and pre/post installation process.
- May have direct management responsibility of distributors or a distribution network.
- Assure the development and execution of territory and account specific strategies
- Work with field application scientist to assure sales targets are met
- Accurately forecast sales in the target markets and update on a weekly basis
- Focus the appropriate selling resources on each of the target markets
- Manage the region to build and maintain a strong funnel to meet sales forecasts
- Establish and maintain contact with key accounts/customers/industry thought leaders
