Our client is a global leader in solution design, front-office customer support, and back-office services like finance and tech support in Africa. They are currently looking to hire a Recruitment Specialist for a short-term project in Lagos, Nigeria.

Job Summary
Collaborate with hiring teams to determine role prerequisites and create clear job descriptions, attract and apply various sourcing techniques, identify new sourcing channels/tools, engage on social media, in professional networks, and during events, leverage our referral program, and
promote the employer brand as well as select, and mentor the colleagues on all things recruiting, arrange interviews, and select the best fit
for the role

Job Description
Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
Draft recruitment advertisements: posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through a review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
Connects qualified candidates with hiring managers.
Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
Vets potential employees credentials.
Help to implement data driven and proactive talent sourcing approaches, using contemporary recruitment tools & technologies and effectively use media platforms.
Modernize talent acquisition strategies and approach by using new technologies, social media, software, and networks to identify, attract, and hire the best talent.
Build partnerships, develop, and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates/recruits.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Experience/Requirements
5 years of proven work experience in recruitment.
Must have worked either in a BPO or recruitment agency.
Hands-on experience with various interview formats
Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislation Personal/Professional Competencies
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend regulatory compliance and/or technical documents
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Must be able to provide guidance and leadership to coworkers in area of expertise
Ability to report and communicate KPI s and potential non-compliance issues
Strong organizational skills, ability to organize other resources effectively and establish and communicate priorities

Over 5 years of experience in sales / business development / account management in the B2B sectors with a preference for experience in the Banking/Financial Services Industry. Additional experience in telecom and insurance would be advantageous. Graduate / Postgraduate (background in Economics/ Business Management / Administration/ Marketing/ Sales). Connections in the banking and financial services community would be advantageous. Successful track record in business development and sales growth. Understanding of the credit bureau industry would be advantageous. Effective communicator with people management, networking skills and the ability to lead / manage teams in a multi-cultural set-up would be advantageous. Experience in leading a business development team Excellent communication and negotiation skills Excellent organizational and leadership skills Critical thinker and problem solver Exhibit strong business acumen and commitment to productivity Analytically driven Excellent presentation skills Ability to influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the company. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to successful closure. Conversant in understanding multiple industries, specifically banking in the areas of risk, credit and collections. Self-driven with a high level of energy, and willingness to work in a dynamic set-up.
