R&D Project Manager (Industrial Biotechnology)

Tasks

As the first R&D Project Manager at MicroHarvest, you will be overseeing complex innovation projects from inception to completion. In this position you will have the opportunity to shape MicroHarvest s trajectory, helping to reduce costs, maximize efficiencies, and increase revenue.

• Managing various R&D projects (including, among others, managing project team, evaluating and reporting project status, and timely identification of bottlenecks)
• Resource planning (inc. outsourced projects)
• Finding and applying for funding opportunities
• Budget planning and monitoring

Requirements

• MSc Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Eng., Food Technology, or other similar fields
• Hands-on experience in executing R&D projects within food technology/pharmaceutical/ biotechnology fields
• Proven track record of managing several R&D projects simultaneously within food technology/pharmaceutical/ biotechnology field
• Fluent and versatile in project management strategies, from scope definition to execution and project wrap-up
• Clear communication with project stakeholders (from the founding team to project team members) on planning, status, and forecasting
• Literate in project management tools (Gantt charts, PERT charts, Status dashboard)
• Thriving in an early-stage startup environment
