Program Support Specialist Tableau Developer

We are hiring a Program Support Specialist (Tableau Developer) for one of our clients in Trenton NJ.

Job Description:

• Developing new as well as updating or enhancing existing dashboards using Tableau Desktop Tableau Prep and Tableau Server
• Assisting in database collection system development
• Designing visualizations with a modular design of reports worksheets and views in Tableau
• Developing dashboards with Tableau parameters.
• Assisting in developing testing improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.
• Applying critical thinking to gather requirements from an internal stakeholder and adjusting for external users to create interactive dashboards in Tableau.
• Validating figures from official sources
• Organizing data in a clear and understandable format
• Clean standardize and validate data.

SPECIAL NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

• 2 plus years of experience in creating Tableau dashboards.
• An understanding of the appropriate chart types (Bar charts Line charts scatter plots Heat Maps)
• Hands on experience with SQL
• Proficient in MS Excel i.e. Pivot tables page layouts VLOOKUP
• Proficient in data visualizations tools i.e. Tableau
• Data Analysis
• Experience with large data sets
• Critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented
• Strong written and strategic communication skills
• Attention to details to be able to validate values and provide deliverables.

Experience required:

• Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience or Four (4) years of professional experience relevant to the position. Experience must be related to the journeyman title associated with the position Possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Skills required:

• Microsoft Word Teams Outlook Excel Tableau Desktop/Cloud Tableau Prep REDCap or other survey tools.

Work hours:

• MondayFriday9am5pm (35 hours per week)
• Lunch Period: 1hour (Unpaid)
