Job Summary (General description about the position)
Areas of Responsibility
- Accountable for the Operations towards achieving the daily production plan. Review
performance summary of department based days output.
- Ensure right manmachineallocations.
- Analysis for equipment break down/ product NC / Zero quality issues / Production variance is
made and countermeasures are put in place as planned.
- Responsible for the reduction of scrap Tools & Consumable.
- Drive for continuous improvement
- Controls of expenditures and variances
- Prioritize activities associated with elimination of waste in all areas.
- Improve employee relations through the participation with personnel from the shop floor and
install behavioral discipline
- Ensures all associates are following procedures plant wide safety rules and employee rules of
conduct.
- Active Participation in training and skill development of associates.
- Optimize resource utilization
- Ensure internal PPM to achieve Zero rejections
- Hands on experience in 5S
- Improvement activity Line efficiency / cost reduction
- Knowledge of Production System
- Exposure for Lean Manufacturing; TPM; TQM
Dimensions of job as Production Engineer (Authorized and will be responsible for)
Major responsibilities and target accomplishments expected of the position are as follows:
- Allocation of work / planning of production volumes on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Incharge/Responsible for the entire shop floorshift.
- Coordinate with PPC for production planning and execution of the plans.
- To guide & support Linesupervisors / Lineleaders in achieving the targeted production.
- Responsible for inhouse quality.
- Responsible for safety of the workers & Machinery.
- Developing system & coordinating for the TQM initiative.
- Responsible for inventory & stock management.
- Responsible for productivity improvements.
- Responsible for labour management & disciplinary issues (Action).
- Responsible for inhouse scrap reduction.
- Responsible for making sure orders are met on time that products are of the right quality
and that costs are kept as low as possible
Key Result Areas (KRA)
KRA 1
Managing production activities and achieving production targets in quality
productivity efficiency capacity safety cost control staff development and
customer service.
KRA 2 Develop annual operating plan and capital requirements
KRA 3 Develop and implement appropriate cost saving ideas for production
operations. Generate and implement ideas for continual process improvement.
KRA 4 Maintain production and inventory records. Provide weekly/monthly reports as
required.
KRA 5 Manages proper production control planning and scheduling programs to meet
forecasts.
KRA 6
Use key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile Minimum Requirements
Required Qualification BE / B.Tech (Any Specialization)
Work Experience 3 5 Years
Preferred Industrial
background Automobile / Auto Ancillary / Auto Components (Preferred MNC)
Age 25 to 30 Years
Gender Preference Male / Female

- Must have exposure on the Assembly Line.
