Job Description
- 12-Month NSW Government Contract
- $840 per day + Super
- Flexible work location
Our client is a large NSW Government organisation who are seeking Product Ownerto join their team.
The role requires strong analysis, communication and stakeholder engagement skills along with the ability to operate successfully in a dynamic organisational environment.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive team player who enjoys converting business requirements into solutions to improve business processes and customer experience. They will have excellent relationship management skills, providing stakeholders with accurate advice about business challenges and opportunities as well as technical issues and solutions to support product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the product backlog, defining user stories, and working with the development team and key stakeholders to build the best solutions for customers.
- Understand the problem and needs of customers and stakeholders and communicate this to the development teams.
- Capture, communicate and validate customer problems and needs using techniques such as User journey mapping, empathy mapping & prototyping.
- Ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of products and technologies and how they can solve customer and user problems.
- Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet user needs.
- Contribute to the product roadmap, gathering customer insights and feedback, defining and writing user stories, acceptance criteria and success metrics, to ensure customer centric product design, development and delivery.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in software engineering and/or project/product management.
- Experience working on projects within larger programs.
- Recent experience working in a Product Owner role.
On offer is a 12 - month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
