Overview:

The Procurement Expert plays a crucial role in the organizations sourcing and purchasing activities ensuring the acquisition of goods services and materials to meet business requirements efficiently. They are responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies managing supplier relationships and contributing to cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute procurement strategies to achieve costeffective deals and support organizational goals.
  • Identify potential suppliers and manage the negotiation process to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Oversee supplier management activities reviewing performance and establishing quality and delivery standards.
  • Analyze market trends pricing and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Implement and maintain procurement policies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Conduct contract management activities including drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives identifying opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators and metrics to measure procurement effectiveness.
  • Participate in crossfunctional teams and projects to support strategic sourcing initiatives and supply chain optimization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates on procurement activities to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all procurement activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration supply chain management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain management with at least 6 years in a strategic procurement role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating contracts managing supplier relationships and driving cost savings initiatives.
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement best practices market analysis techniques and sourcing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with the capacity to make datadriven procurement decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract management including drafting reviewing and interpreting contractual terms and conditions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing procurement policies procedures and process improvements.
  • Good understanding of compliance requirements and regulations related to procurement activities.
  • Proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements and managing complex procurement projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management software and tools.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CSCP CPSM) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and coach junior procurement staff.
  • Sound decisionmaking and strategic planning capabilities with a focus on achieving business objectives through effective procurement strategies.
