Job Summary:
Our Valued Client a Mechanical Contractor who services the Energy and Natural Resources industries is on the search for a qualified Payroll Coordinator to join the team and support the Payroll Manager with all payroll tasks and support the implementation of a new payroll system company wide.
As a Payroll Coordinator you'll play a pivotal role in managing fullcycle payrolls for multiple unions and provinces ensuring accuracy and compliance. If you're a detailoriented professional with PCP certification and experience in highvolume payroll administration apply now to be part of a company that values innovation integrity and employee development.


Must Haves:
  • PCP certificate required.
  • 35 years of experience with fullcycle payroll in a highvolume payroll administrator role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; ability to pull reports and analyze data.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons as needed.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience implementing/changing payroll systems
  • Proficiency in using and administrating the ADP WFN payroll system


Responsibilities:
  • Manage fullcycle payrolls for multiple unions and provinces ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Validate time reports audit pay rate exceptions and accurately allocate job costing.
  • Execute payroll processing GL posting benefits administration and comprehensive payroll reporting.
  • Collaborate with managers project groups site admins unions and thirdparty providers.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly union dues fringe benefits remittances and payroll taxes.
  • Balance various payroll GLs prepare necessary journal entries and oversee yearend processes.
  • Contribute to system implementation projects including data conversion system mapping and compliance with collective agreements and legislation.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks in a highvolume environment with minimum supervision.
  • Work professionally and proactively with business segment leaders regarding their particular business needs while enforcing Payroll department standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation operational excellence and continuous improvement within the payroll team.
