MECHANICAL FITTER

Our client is a specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems. Their customers are in diverse industries such as oil and gas energy mining ship technology rail and commercial vehicles. Our Client is looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis two (2) experienced Mechanical Fitters. These roles will be based in the Company premises in Croydon..

Mechanical Fitter Offer

• 29k to 34k depending on experience
  
• Hours are MonThurs 07:00 to 15:00 and Fri 07:00 to 13:30 a 36.5 hour week

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities

• Overhaul of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment
  
• Mechanical fitting assembly strip survey and test
  
• Read drawings identify components assemble and / or repair mechanical equipment.
  
• Maintain good quality and efficiency.
  
• Carry out testing basic wiring and mechanical fitting.
  
• Maintain good housekeeping
  
• Awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements.
  
• Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses.
  

• Minimum of five years mechanical fitting required preferably for rotating equipment (The Client needs experienced applicants from an engineering workshop environment)
  
• Ability to work to strict quality guidelines within ISO9001 and RISAS
  
• Preferably timeserved apprentice trained but must have relevant qualifications i.e. mechanical engineering.
  
• A working knowledge of safety systems such as Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments will be advantageous.
  
• Experience of Lean Manufacturing principals such as 5s and knowledge of the 7 wastes would be beneficial but not crucial.
  
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
