Our client a nonprofit whose mission is to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate (CRE) seeks a dynamic poised and motivated Marketing & Events Associate to help elevate their platform.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and innovative individual to work with a small but mighty team dedicated to advancing and elevating women leaders in the maledominated CRE industry. They achieve this goal through scholarship support for graduate study mentorship and networking opportunities for women with high potential who are committed to becoming leaders in the real estate industry.
The Marketing & Events Associate works under the supervision of the CEO in support of the external affairs of the organization including demonstration of impact as well as highquality engagement of stakeholders at inperson and virtual event experiences. They will engage within the client s community which includes not only Scholars mentors and other volunteers but also the CRE industry partner organizations and associations and affiliated universities.
This position will be flexible and hybrid; the Marketing & Events Associate should expect to attend regularly scheduled meetings inperson in the organization s Buffalo Grove IL office. This remote working arrangement will be evaluated on a regular basis and may be changed based on business and operational needs.
A day in the life of a successful Marketing & Events Associate could include but is not limited to:
Events: they will be responsible for the scheduling logistics communications materials and promotion of the following events.
- Annual Meeting (May): lead event coordination
- Gala (September): support outside Consultant activities under direction of CEO.
- Other events that engage Alumnae Mentors potential students/candidates and other CRE industry stakeholders which occur throughout the year. This responsibility includes management of the speaker corps that may be activated to participate on behalf of client. Examples include:
Universitysponsored events
Womens Network events at companies / organizations
Scholar recruitment events
Media/Industry events
Real Estate program alumni events
Marketing & PR: they will oversee the creation and publication of all print and digital communications including newsletters brochures direct mail advertisements and promotional materials. In addition they will engage in the following activities:
- Participate in the development and execution of organizational strategic marketing plan in partnership with the CEO.
- Oversee Social Media strategy and execution.
- Oversee the creation of the Annual Report and other fundraising/impact printed materials including quarterly impact newsletter and fundraising appeals.
- Manage all webbased marketing assets (e.g. Constant Contact Organization website).
- Partner with the CEO to execute other fundraising strategies including the production of the Gala Shero video annually.
- Attend events on behalf of the client; some outofstate/regional travel may be required. The Manager should expect to attend events outside of normal business hours on a regular basis generally in downtown Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
- Oversee the storage and management of all photo video and other digital assets.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all public relations opportunities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for contracted specialists including but not limited to design professional(s) printer merchandise supplier(s) etc.
Scholars Program: from time to time the Marketing & Events Associate will partner with the Program Director to execute marketing/PR and eventrelated aspects of the Scholars Program including but not limited to the following:
- Virtual Events (ongoing) such as Scholar Meet & Greet Personal Brand Personal Pitch Prep etc.
- Scholar Retreat (February): working in conjunction with the Program Director support event and logistics coordination.
- Marketing/Outreach to affiliated and new universities (Scholar recruitment).
- Online Community (Hive Brite) job board and virtual mentoring program.
- Programrelated evaluation and survey activities via SurveyMonkey.
- Scholar application process including interviews.
- Other programrelated functions and processes to be assigned by the CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree required.
- 23 years of fulltime professional experience is required ideally within a CRE environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
- Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Eventmanagement experience is preferred.
- Social Media management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self starter as well as collaboratively among a team especially in a remote/hybrid environment. Passion Integrity and Energy; Growth Mindset.
- Experience in the non profit real estate or university/educational sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Suite Outlook required. Experience with CRM/Donor Management Systems (e.g. Little Green Light) Constant Contact WordPress a plus.
