Maintenance Technician

Job Scope:

1. Perform general routine maintenance around the building including fixing structural damage such as window door or wall repair.
   
2. Repair broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
   
3. Address damaged electrical wiring in case of shortages or severed wires.
   
4. Apply preventative measures to reduce future problems such as using sealant on flat roofs.
   
5. Fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
   
6. Paint the building when old paint becomes faded or chipped.
   
7. Conduct pre and postinspections of hotel equipment machines and public lighting to ensure smooth operation.
   
8. Collaborate closely with Housekeeping to provide technical and maintenance support and complete assigned tasks.
   
9. Maintain records and logbooks for special service contractors documenting repairs and work orders.
   
10. Assist the Executive Housekeeper in regularly monitoring response times for completing repairs to measure contractor performance.
    

Requirements

Qualifications

1. Education: Appropriate documented training from technical/vocational institute.
   
2. Experience: Electrical wiring and mechanical skills knowledge of general repair and plumbing carpentry ability proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
   
3. Language Skills: Basic knowledge of English or Malay language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak read and write clearly. Second language preferred
