About the position
The Digital Transformation of Agri-Food Systems and the Climate Action Research teams require a professional with experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), who has a background or interest in topics related to digital agriculture, climate change, and food security. This position will design and standardize processes of the technology capabilities for building, deploying, and operating ML systems rapidly and reliably. Also, the selected candidate will provide leadership in defining and implementing strategies and tools, working with the stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field; Master s or PhD degree in related areas,
Experience in related fields minimum of five (5) years
High proficiency with R or Python, with specific expertise in the machine and deep learning frameworks
High experience in cloud computing including with Google Cloud and AWS
High Experience with Docker and Git
Experience with different types of databases: Relational, NoSQL, Graph, Document, Columnar, Time Series
Workflow orchestration platforms such as Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow, or similar
Self-starter and comfortable working in an early-stage environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong sense of leadership and growth mindset

This is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed term contract of a one (1) year period, subject to a probation period of two (2) months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
