Laboratory Technician

Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30am3:00pm.

Requirements of the Lab Technician:

• High school diploma or associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience bachelor/ with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  
• Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
  
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 ISO 17025 and ISO
  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to follow SOPs with precision.
  
• Knowledge of spectrometers including ICPOES and XRF instruments.
  
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and laboratory Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.
  

Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:

• Perform gravimetrical techniques including filtration acid digestion and fusion.
  
• Follow the instructions for processing material and sample preparation for incoming samples to the lab.
  
• Prepare and handle chemical reagents and standard solutions.
  
• Prepare samples for ICP runs and XRF as needed.
  
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring calibration and proper functioning.
  
• Maintain a clean safe and organized laboratory environment.
  
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sample preparation and analysis.
  
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills.
