Tasks

As a Software Engineer youll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious passionate driven and enthusiastic Youll be proficient at problemsolving and crafting scalable resilient and faulttolerant architectures. Youll be an effective communicator and a team player. You and your team will move in a fastpaced engineering environment achieving outstanding results and delivering exciting projects.

Your daytoday responsibilities will look like this:

Crafting excellent products! As a Full Stack Engineer you will be building new features that meet the needs of our clients customers as well as improving their Digital Platform;

• Working closely with your team regularly collaborating and on engineering initiatives to continually push yourselves to be better;
• Collaborate with product managers designers and fellow developers to define project requirements and specifications;
• Develop and maintain highquality mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native;
• Write clean maintainable and efficient code;
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness;
• Debug and resolve application issues and bugs;
• Stay uptodate with the latest trends in web and mobile app development and incorporate best practices;
• Assist in the evaluation of new technologies and tools to improve the development process.
• Participating in regular show and tells to promote your work to both your department and the wider company.

Requirements

A YLD Software Engineering Consultant is a highlyskilled developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience with others.

Youll have the opportunity to build and deliver software within some interesting projects both in terms of the product and the methodology. We work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a testfirst mindset (actually writing code without tests should be unthinkable). We are also big advocates of pair programming and nothing is released until we have a code review.

You have a real passion for problemsolving and are an active learner who gets excited by working collaboratively with those around you.

Youll have the following skills and experience:

• Commercial experience of working with JavaScript frameworks as React Node and React native;
• Experience with GraphQL;
• Experience in distributed version control systems (e.g. Git);
• Experience in testing your own products;
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX;
• Proficiency in using RESTful APIs and integrating thirdparty services;
• Familiarity with platformspecific features and differences;
• Understanding of native modules and bridge communication;
• Strong problemsolving and debugging skills;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality code;
• A strong portfolio of previous mobile applications is a plus.
