Job Title: Help Desk Support Technician

Location: Onsite - Fremont, CA

Duration: 6 Months

Overview:

Our client is looking for a Help Desk Support Technician that will be responsible for providing 1st line IT support to internal customers.

Job Summary:

Our client has a vision to become the most influential life sciences company for researchers. Our client is looking for a Help Desk Support Technician to join their team. This is a long term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides basic support for Windows PCs/laptops, printers, telephones, and other IT infrastructure
  • Maintains front line desktop support for internal customers and responds to IT request tickets in timely manner
  • Performs asset management activities (inventory tracking, distribution, etc.)
  • Owns the onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assists colleagues with Global Infrastructure projects and tasks where needed
  • Conducts training sessions on newly implemented technologies to educate staff when needed
  • Administers ID security card system in place to protect the office space

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a focus around Microsoft technologies
  • Basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, VPN
  • Experience performing Desktop/IT Support activities in a Windows environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and file server permissions
  • Experience supporting MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Microsoft O365 + and Microsoft Teams
  • Able to troubleshoot Windows 7/8/10/11
