Join our team in Erfurt Leipzig or Ilmenau or work remotely full time as Head of Software Development (f/m/d).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our international team of software developers. As the Head of Software Development you will oversee five development teams ensuring the successful delivery of our enterprise solutions to utilities worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile development practices prioritize customercentricity and possess exceptional leadership skills.

What is the role about

• Lead and manage a diverse team of software developers distributed across multiple locations. Act as the primary interface between CLevel Management and the software development department ensuring the continuous communication of management decisions and operational strategic as well as company culturerelated information to its members.
• Drive the delivery of highquality software solutions meeting project timelines and exceeding customer expectations.
• Act as a liaison between development teams and the internal and external stakeholders including bluechip utility clients ensuring to understand and address their needs effectively.
• Collaborate with product management and other departments to align development efforts with business goals and customer requirements.
• Implement and champion agile development methodologies ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability incl. the perpetual evaluation and continuous improvement and further development of intra and crossdepartment processes with regards to Cuculus ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.
• Manage the relationships with foreign entities implementation partners and other strategic and technological partners with regards to software development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering their professional growth and development.
• Oversee project plans on the development side including generating status reports and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints such as cost and time targets.

You fit in with us if

• You hold a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science Math Physics or a related engineering discipline.
• You have more than 7 years of management experience in a similar role profound knowledge of software development and software implementation processes and a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
• You ideally bring professional experience within the utility industry preferably related to MDM AMI HES CRM or similar assetintensive industries.
• You are skilled in the technical and disciplinary leadership of several distributed teams extended by external teams with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• You have the ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and lead teams through change and ambiguity.
• You are passionate about customer satisfaction and committed to delivering exceptional software solutions.
• You are fluent in English additional languages especially German are a plus.
