Essential Functions Demonstrates product expertise Troubleshoots issues within the environment also including SIP & Network Assesses complex situations to make appropriate recommendations Initiates and suggests process improvements to increase efficiencies for support of product solutions Adheres to support processes and best practices Prepares and/or reviews functional requirements documentation Works with clients to facilitate their understanding of best practices for a VoIP telephony solution Keeps apprised of new offerings and software updates from the manufacturer Participates in the on-call rotation Adapts to work within a team environment when needed Required Qualifications Minimum of Technical Associate Degree Knowledge of SIP and VoIP Knowledge of networking, especially TCP/IP Knowledge of network design and network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to hardware, software, VoIP or network connectivity Ability to adapt to changes in priorities and direction as business dictates Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to manage multiple priorities through detail orientation and strong organizational/planning skills Ability to work independently with minimal direction but resulting in a satisfied resolution for the client Desired/Preferred Qualifications Technical 4-year Bachelor degree 2+ years experience with the VoiP product support ICCE or GCP certification from associated product focus such as Genesys, etc. Supervisory Responsibility None Travel Less than 10% Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
