Field Service Engineer

If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and knowledge our client has a contract to hire position available for a Remote Field Service Engineer

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Handle troubleshooting installation preventative maintenance and service repair needs of clients equipment in the field
• Provide technical training on products with clients
• Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records order repair parts and adhere to cycle times
• Utilize business systems OBI Salesforce and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
• Engage w/ both internal and external stakeholders understanding and meeting their requirements
• Assist w/ the training of newer Field Service Engineers

Salary: $DOE/ hr (6 month contract to hire)

Schedule: FT 40hrs Mon Fri 730am 4pm

Location: Remote West Sacramento CA

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent Military experience Required!
• Technical college major biomed engineering or related A Plus!
• Min 1year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical electromechanical robotics electronic equipment and/or instrumentation
• Instrument experience in the medical diagnostic field Preferred!
• Previous experience in manufacturing field service or related industry experience Required!
• 2 years experience of advanced troubleshooting installation validation preventative maintenance modifications and/or service repair Preferred!
• Instrument experience in the medical diagnostic field Preferred!
• Hold a current valid drivers license and good driving record over the last 3 years.
• Ability to travel (previous experience providing service in an assigned geography and comfortable traveling to other areas/overnight).
• Ability to work independently
• Skills to be successful customer focused sense of urgency display initiative and a willingness to get it done ability to meet key targets to achieve quality results ability to builds action plans to achieve goals excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Candidates must be able to lift lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted (tools replacement parts consumables etc.).
• Candidates must be able to frequently bend stoop twist turn crouch/crawl push/pull and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
• Candidates must also be able to reach at above and below shoulder level flex/extend neck have good hand and finger dexterity.
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
• The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
