LUKESJOB SUMMARYThe Staff Nurse applies and demonstrates knowledge of the delivery of professional nursing care, including all aspects of practice, as defined by the MN Board of Nursing and reinforced in St. Luke's policies. Plans, delegates to, and organizes nursing personnel. Manages and coordinates information between patient, family and healthcare team members; provides for education of patient's families and staff and evaluates outcomes. Demonstrates the applied knowledge and skills required for the practice of Emergency Nursing through collaborative and autonomous practice which reflects current standards of practice as well as current St. Luke's policies and procedures. IntegMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: See Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements.Experience: Two (2) years of recent acute care nursing experience, or; one (1) year as St. Lukes Emergency Department RN within the past five (5) years, or; or one (1) year recent experience as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Float Pool (CCFP), or Critical Care Resource RN, or; two (2) years as a Paramedic or Basic EMT with IV training, or; two (2) years of recent experience as an Emergency Department NA or Technician, or; RN who has completed a Capstone Nursing Internship in an ED. Recent experience is defined as occurring in the last three (3) years.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as Registered Nurse. ACLS and PALS certifications within eighteen (18) months of hire. TNCC and ENPC certifications must be current or obtained one time within twenty-four (24) months of employment, or the incumbent must provide proof upon hire that they had obtained these certifications within the past 10 years, even if expired. Once obtained, TNCC and ENPC need not be renewed. Current ATCN certification is acceptable for TNCC. Successful completion of Critical Care or Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO) education modules within eighteen (18) months of employment as determined by the Nurse Manager. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.rates clinical knowledge and technical skills in the delivery of emergency care. Collaborates, supports, and provides services in all areas of the Emergency Department, Intake area, Triage, and Urgent Care.
Shift: 12 hour shifts available Day/Night shift rotation 2 weekends per 4 week schedule 13 weeks 36 hours per pay period
