Electrical Engineer

Title : Electrical Design/ Engineer

Location : Andover, MA 01810

Duration : Contract / Full Time

Overview:

Excellent knowledge in system design & development and good experience in Digital/Mixed Signal/Analog board design and Wireless interfaces,

Experience in closely working with system and sub-system teams and fully understand electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces between sub-systems and the corresponding flow of data/information.

Experience in tracking issues associated with sub-system releases, identifying the responsible team(s) and sub-system(s), communicating with the concerned personnel, and driving issues through to resolution.

Experience in working with Medical diagnostics device or equivalent systems (Preferable)

Exposure to ISO13485, ISO14971 standards, IEC60601-x , 21 CFR Part 820 & EU Medical Device Regulations and other safety standards (preferable)

Support new product introduction (NPI) transition from design to manufacturing

Drive the design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technology to designs.

Excellent communication skills & interaction with multiple stake holders/functions

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred

• 10+ years of Electronic Design Experience & Embedded product development
• Previous work experience as System Engineer
• Must have work experience in microcontroller (latest models), CPLD/FPGA and/or digital logic, protocols (USB, I2C, SPI, RS232, SDI etc.)
• Possess knowledge of Verilog based RTL design and simulation for FPGAs is plus
• Must have strong knowledge in various design analysis for digital board & Mixed signal designs such as timing, noise margin, part stress and worst-case analysis.
• Must have handled cross functional projects and successfully delivered for the same.
• Hands on experience in electronic circuit design
• Experience in electrical requirements, board specification and system requirement writing.
• Must be able to bring quick solution in reworking existing unit with hardware and/or software.
• Experience in medical product development and testing (preferred)
• Comfortable with working in a lab environment and executing hands on testing
• Must be familiar with technical work instruction and drawings, and good documentation practices
• Must have circuit design experience (Altium, OrCAD OR equivalent, Altium is preferred)
• Must be familiar with software tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience working with development teams across the Geo in different time zones
