Driver Trainer

• Provide hands-on training that meets curriculum requirements and driver needs.
• Assess student performance, identify any gaps and provide additional assistance as necessary
• Perform skill assessments as well as train, coach, and mentor drivers to develop the skills necessary to become safe and successful driver
• Work with Leadership and Operations to solve issues identified during training. Train student drivers on performing safety inspections relating to potential truck/trailer issues.
• Instruct functional driving skills such as performing turns, curves, backing, etc.
• Provide training on e-Log operations and trip reports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience
• Possess a valid class A CDL and satisfactory driving record
• 8 years experience driving tractor trailer
• One or two years of driver training experience ispreferred
• Live within 50 miles of our terminal located in Sauk City, WI
