Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Science Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and leveraging advanced analytics to extract insights from complex datasets - moreover, you develop innovative solutions for preventative healthcare. The ideal candidate has a life-science background and brings expertise in healthcare data analytics, legal and compliance, and team leadership.
Your primary focus will be on data exploration, data visualization, and machine learning. To be successful in this role you need to possess a comprehensive experience in analyzing digital biomarkers derived from wearable devices . You will also be building a small team of data professionals and guide them through the development and implementation of analytical models and algorithms.

Tasks
- Conduct data exploration and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large and complex datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize analytical requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
- Design and create visually appealing and intuitive data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights effectively
- Perform time series analysis on wearables data to extract meaningful information and derive actionable insights
- Lead a team of data engineers and scientists to drive data analytics and AI initiatives.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics and optimization
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations and best practices, including HIPAA and GDPR
- Manage the team's budget, resources, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work
- Stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare data trends, AI technologies, and machine learning models, and identify opportunities for the team to make an impact in this field
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Healthcare, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in the field of data analytics, data exploration, visualization, and machine learning
- Strong expertise in digital biomarkers field: time series analysis, particularly with wearables data
- Experience with database management systems, ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Experience with AI technologies, such as deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision
- Technical expertise with Salesforce, including experience designing and implementing Salesforce data models, developing workflows and automations using Apex, Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies
- Experience building and leading a team of data professionals
- Superb communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop a vision for the team's work that aligns with the company s goals
- Must-have: deep understanding of healthcare data regulations and compliance, including HIPAA and GDPR
