Data Analyst

Salary Range: $70000 $95000 per year

The Data Analyst will be integral in interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business thus affecting business decisions. The Data Analyst gathers information from various sources and interprets patterns and trends once data has been gathered and interpreted the Data Analyst will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the broader business/relevant colleagues.

• Collect process and perform statistical analyses on large datasets.
• Discover patterns and trends in structured and unstructured data.
• Analyze data and generate actionable insights for business improvements.
• Create visual representations of data such as charts and graphs to better showcase what the data reveals.
• Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends patterns and predictions using relevant data.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to implement and refine data strategies.
• Utilize automation and machine learning tools to optimize data retrieval and analytics processes.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytics activities.

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics Economics Computer Science Information Management Statistics or a related field.
• Proven Interest and/or experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc) databases (SQL etc) programming (XML Javascript or ETL frameworks).
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel SPSS SAS etc).
• Adept at queries report writing and presenting findings.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in databases and statistical packages.
• Data visualization and reporting skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
