The role involves developing quote packages in response to customer Requests for Quote (RFQ) which include estimates of labor material tooling and equipment costs based on customer specifications. The candidate will ensure the feasibility and profitability of quotes offer alternatives based on manufacturing processes and adjust estimates as necessary. The position requires acting as a liaison between external and internal customers collaborating with procurement for supplier quotes and maintaining a cost database for accuracy in future bids.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop cost estimates from RFQs using customer specifications.
Liaise between customers and internal teams.
Collaborate with Procurement to obtain external quotes.
Maintain accuracy in cost database for future bids.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
5 years of experience in quote development.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of CATIA machining and material utilization.
Strong business acumen in product costing and profitability.
Basic math skills and ability to apply various mathematical concepts.
Dependable initiativetaking and able to work independently.
Proficient in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to ITAR.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet short deadlines.
