Job Description
- This position is for an AWS Cloud Engineer who will support and complete the tasks necessary to design and implement cloud solutions for DTMB agency services supporting MDHHS.
- The resource will be pivotal in designing executing and managing our cloud projects to ensure scalability reliability and security.
- The position will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies architecture design and handson experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Not having a cloud Engineer on the team will impact the MDSS modernization project and support needed postimplementation.

Requirements:
- 7 years of Cloud technologies experience preferably in AWS.
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices including data encryption identity and access management (IAM) network security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Optimize the performance of AWS resources and applications by tuning configurations leveraging caching mechanisms and implementing scalability features.
- Experience with AWS services like S3 EC2 VPC LAMDA Amazon manage streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) B11ROSA(OpenShift) EKS or ECS Fargate ECR
- Implement costeffective solutions by analyzing AWS pricing models rightsizing resources leveraging spot instances and implementing cost monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch AWS Config and other tools to ensure the health and performance of AWS resources as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Experience with installing and configuring Elastic stack on a containerized environment.
- Experience in writing customized filters on Logstash.
- Working knowledge on all the Elastic agents.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods Deployments Services and Persistent Volumes.
- Skill in building managing and troubleshooting Docker containers.
- AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) preferred.
